● Counsel students on their academic plans, course selection, and post-secondary options, including college and career planning.

● Help students develop effective study habits, time management, and organizational skills.

● Conduct aptitude and interest assessments to assist students in exploring educational and vocational paths.

Personal and Social Development

● Provide individual and small-group counseling for students dealing with personal or social issues.

Crisis Intervention

● Respond to and manage crisis situations involving students.

Collaboration and Program Management

● Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student needs and progress.

● Participate in student-focused meetings, such as Individualized Education Program (IEP)meetings.

Education and Certification

● Education: A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Master’s Degree in teaching, education,

counseling, social work, or related field is required.

● State Credential: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a state-issued credential or license for

school counselor from any State

● Experience: Entry level and senior level Counselor positions are open. Previous experience in

counseling or working with K-12, college, or university students is desirable, but NOT

mandatory.
